Obviously, what makes this already tragic incident far more unsettling is the implied motives of the killer, as indicated by the apparent note left at the crime scene. Among those sought for questioning are the deceased couple's eldest son, though he is not believed to be have been involved in the crime. Both were beloved volunteers in the city's Bangladeshi community and had no known enemies."Ī shock to the large Bangladeshi community in the area, it is not believed that the deaths were racially motivated, nor were they apparently random. "Police are reportedly baffled at the frightening suggestion there may be more, and the motive behind the shooting deaths of the 59-year-old Bangladesh-raised engineer and his 57-year-old accountant wife, and mother of two. The Toronto Sun reported on the incident, stating that: This story is no anecdote from some popular murder mystery novel it is, in fact, an accurate retelling of events which transpired only recently in San Jose County, California. I can't love someone without telling them." The note went on to read, "I can't be like you, telling a lie. There lay the bodies of two victims, and beside their remains, a disturbing message with even more frightening implications. Only killed 2 people but is still one of the most infamous serial killers of the 20th century. The story was like something you'd find within a mystery novel. Ed Gein was also one of the first serial killers I studied, so I've always seen him as one of the most gruesome (yet interesting.)Įd Gein wasn't actually a serial killer - he only admitted to killing two women - rather, he was a body snatcher who had an obsession with his deceased mother, Augusta. But he is pretty far out there when it comes to terms of what he did with the corpses, turning parts of the bodies of dead women into furniture and trying to create a suit so he could be his mother, who he adored dearly. He has only been convicted of killing two people, though this is debatable, since he could've started the fire that killed his brother, but nobody know for sure if he did. Serial killing is the span of 3 or more murders over a length on time. He technically isn't a true serial killer. Most famous in history and possibly a person of importance in English government.Ħ Ed Gein Edward Theodore Gein, also known as The Butcher of Plainfield, was an American murderer and body snatcher. I've only voted for him because he is a classic killer, in a way. But he's definitely the most famous, and often times a serial killers main goal is fame, so I guess Jack wins. Well, I don't plan on ever changing my career choice to serial killer or law officer, so I don't research serial killers (I'm pretty ignorant to the subject). There's probably more to point out tooĬome on, its Jack the Ripper, Jacky's number 1. He butchered prostitutes like they came out of saw, there also wasn't even so much as a single trace to his real identity, furthermore, his name has entered pop culture, folklore, books, and basically anywhere else (in terms of instant recognition his name dwarves anyone else on this list). Look the rapists are demons, but their murders were nowhere near as heinous as this guy's. To this day, he has remained a mysterious and popular phenomena among serial killers and popular media. 2 Jack the Ripper "Jack the Ripper" was the alias of an unknown serial killer in Whitechapel, London who brutally murdered 5 women (mainly prostitutes) between August and November of 1888.
